Services for Wilfarene C. Sires, 73, of 928 South St., will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. She died of natural causes Sunday afternoon (June 26, 1988) at Covenant Medical Center at West Ninth Street.

She was born Nov. 13, 1914, in Traer, daughter of Henry and Susan Duffy St. John. She married Floyd L. Sires on Jan. 28, 1950, in Sioux City. He died in 1978.

Survivors include three sons, Levi of Clarksville and Dean and Jerry, both of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Al, Bob and Ed St. John, all of Waterloo; and a sister, Genevieve Lellig of Waterloo.

Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at O'Keefe & Towne-Carter & Waychoff Funeral Home, where a rosary and Scripture service will be at 7 p.m. today.

Memorials may be made to the church.
