Mrs. Joseph Cavanaugh, 73, died at 5 a, m. Monday at her home in Buckingham, la., of heart disease. She had been ill for a year and a half.

Mary Ann Lonergan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lonergan, was born in New York state Feb. 16, 1864. She was married to Joseph Cavanaugh in Lincoln Township. Black Hawk county, Iowa, June 28, 1887. She was a member of the Catholic church at Blessing, la.

Surviving are the husband, seven daughters: Mrs. Ralph Girsch, 319 Jefferson Street; Mrs. Louis Bedard, 911 Wellington Street: Mrs. Lester Wilier, 706 Wellington Street, and Mrs. Arthur Klein, 811 Eighth Street West, all of Waterloo; Mrs. Elizabeth Heinz, and Miss Lucille Cavanaugh, of Buckingham, and Mrs. Jack Lindebaum, Long Beach. Cali.; three sons: Charles and Eugene, of Buckingham, and Joseph, 614 Washington Street, Waterloo; one brother, Joseph Lonergan, Buckingham; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The body was taken from the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home to the Cavanaugh residence Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. at the Blessing Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. John Richard, pastor. Burial will be in the Blessing Cemetery.
