Services for William T. Thayer, 72, of the Ravenwood Health Care Center and formerly of 311 Allen St., will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott and Wood Chapel where friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday. He died at 6 a.m. Friday at the care center.

He was born March 2. 1906, in Marion, Ind., son of William and Rosa Hatfield Thayer. He married Leota Davis, and she died in 1974. He was assistant manager of Cook's Department store until his retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Lowell and Larry, and two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Gorham and Mrs. Sally Stover, all of Dixon, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
