Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Parrott & Wood Chapel for Cecil B. Havenstrite, 64, of 627 Riehl St., who died at 10:55 a.m. Monday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a heart attach.

The Rev. W. E. Dutton, pastor of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, will officiate. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories.

He was born March 31, 1899, at Fayette, the son of Joseph B. and Sylvia House Havenstrite. He was married to Opal Neuenschwanter of Cedar Rapids on Dec. 6, 1919. They spent most of their married life in Waterloo.

He was an employee of the old WCF&N railroad and later its successor, Waterloo Railroad, for 47 years. He was train dispatcher. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion of Waterloo.

Surviving is the widow at home; one son, B. W. Havenstrite, of Venice, Fla.; three daughters: Mrs. Dan Nutt, of 101 Elston Ave., Mrs. Bruce Sandhagen of Los Altos, Calif.; Mrs. Francis Baker of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. Harold Howell of 1525 W. 3rd St.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
