Emma Harriet Harnack Garinger

Funeral services are tentatively set for Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Emma Harriett Harnack Garinger, 78, who died about 8:45 a.m. yesterday at her home, 823½ Lime St., of a heart attack. The Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemens.

She was born Emma Radloff, on Jan 24, 1881, in Clayton County, the daughter of Carl and Caroline Radloff. She came to Waterloo 35 years ago.

She was married in 1898 at Clayton Center to Henry Harnack, who preceded her in death in 1948. She was married to Walter A. Garinger on Oct. 17, 1957, in Waverly.She was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, LeRoy Harnack, Elkcader, and Cyril E. Harnack, 606 Home Park Blvd.; a brother, Louis Radloff, Clayton Center; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services for Emma Harriet Garinger, 78, who died about 8:45 a. m. Saturday, at her home, 823½ Lime St., of a heart attack, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Locke Funeral Home. The Rev. H. M. Raecker, pastor of the Marshalltown Evangelical Untied Brethren Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
