Mrs. Margaret Matheny, 91, died at 6:25 a.m. Friday of complications of her age at 216 Western Ave., where she had been making her home with a niece, Mrs. Kenneth Snyder.

She was born Jan. 10, 1877, the daughter of Hugh and Sarah Murphy Kelley near Bluffton, Iowa. She was married to Edward Matheny. He died in 1947. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Taylor, 10291½ South St.; Mrs. Peter Kramer, 330 Butler Ave.; Mrs. Ella Clark, Bishop, Calif.; one brother, Hugh Kelly of Mason City; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brother and three sisters.

Funeral services are pending at the Oppold Funeral Home.

Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Waterloo. Gravestone shows she was born 1878 but that doesn't add up to age 91.
