WATERLOO — Larry Edler, 62, of Waterloo, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 14, 1951, in Waterloo, son of Leonard and Helen Edler. He married Sue Brown in 1978 in Mason City.

Mr. Edler graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1969, then served in the U.S. Navy. He attended the University of Northern Iowa, then worked various jobs. He was most recently employed by GMT, Waverly, as a systems administrator until 2007, leaving due to ill health.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Nick and Steve; a daughter, Tina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life gathering at 2 p.m. Saturday at George Wyth State Park at Alice Wyth Lake.
