WATERLOO — Mary Ann Dahl, 51, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, after a brief illness with cancer.

She was born Aug. 6, 1962, in Waterloo, daughter of John and Wilma Bader Remetch. She married Steve Dahl on Sept. 5, 1987, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

Mrs. Dahl graduated in 1980 from Waterloo Central High School. She worked at EPI for 14 years and previously worked at K-Mart.

Survived by her husband; three daughters, Emily Wilkerson of Waterloo, Amy (Andrew) Podraza of West Des Moines and Lucy Dahl of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Julian, Cameron and Carli; her father, John Remetch of Boynton Beach, Fla.; her mother, Wilma Bruess of Waterloo; four brothers, Randy, Mike (Kathy), Johnny and Doug Remetch, all of Waterloo; two sisters, Sherry Boose and Michelle Clark, both of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Sophie.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kearns Funeral Service, Kimball Chapel, with a 7 p.m. rosary service. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.
