[Waterloo Courier, Wednesday, June 27, 1888, Waterloo, Iowa]

S. D. Saylor, proprietor of the Tremont House in this city, died Friday night. He was about 31 years of age and was a son of Jeremiah Saylor, of Orange Township.

He leaves wife and four children.

The funeral which was largely attended was held Sunday afternoon at the German Baptist church, Revs. Henry Wise and Hutchinson conducting the services.

Dennis Saylor, son of Jerry Saylor, of Orange Township, died Friday night, aged about thirty-one years.

He leaves a, wife and four children.

The funeral was held at the German Baptist church at three o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. Henry Wise, assisted by Rev. Hutchinson, conducting the services.

About nine hundred friends of the deceased were in attendance, with over two hundred teams, thus attesting the general desire to pay every mark of respect to the memory of a good citizen, and kind husband and father.
