CEDAR FALLS - Esther M. Becker, 95, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Western Home Martin Center.

She was born May 21, 1910, north of New Hartford, daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Schruers Perrin. She married Gerald W. Becker May 27, 1936, at Grace Methodist Church, Waterloo. He died Nov. 11, 1993.

She received her teacher's training from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, graduating in May 1928. Prior to her marriage she taught in Butler County rural schools.

Survived by two sons, Charles W. "Chuck" (Judy) of Parkersburg and Alan G. "Al" (Ramona) of Middleton, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Connie (Randy) Luhring of Parkersburg, Melody (Ed) Judge of Cedar Falls, DeAnn (Byron) Johnson of Aplington, Anne (Tim) Rookey of Middleton, and Susan, Allison and Marc Becker, all of Portland, Ore.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Mason.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, New Hartford, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
