WATERLOO - Cecil D. Trout, 76, of 641 Donald St., died Sunday, December 1, 1996, at Allen Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

He was born July 2, 1920, in New Providence, son of Qayton E. and Ester M. Mitterer Trout. He married Eleanor Seelemeier Tack in 1947 in Minnesota, and they were later divorced. He then married Joann L. Stokes Jones in 1982 in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Trout was employed by Iowa Public Service Co., now Midwest Resources, for 34 years, retiring in 1982. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Elvin Tack of Cedar Falls and Marlyn Trout of Ozark, Mo.; a daughter, Lois Muir of Waterloo; three stepsons, Donald P., Michael K., and Darren P. Jones, ail of Cedar Falls; a stepdaughter, Katherine Hildebrand of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; eight stepgranddiildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carroll of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Trout; and two daughters, Diane and Nancy Trout.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until services Wednesday at the chapel. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623.
