Robert E. "Bob" Wandro Jr., 24, of Escondido, Calif., formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, July 23, 1990, at his home. Cause of death is unknown, pending an autopsy.

He was born Aug. 29, 1965, in Waterloo, the son of Edith R. Schlampp Dunfee. He was a 1983 graduate of West High School. He served in the Army with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C., from 1983 to 1986. He was employed as a child case worker in California.

Survivors include his mother, Edith Dunfee of 316 Dearborn Ave.; a brother, Staff Sgt. Brian Wandro of Fort Devens, Mass.; a sister, Michelle Dunfee of Waterloo; his maternal grandmother, Ione McNally of Waterloo; and his fiance, Michelle Nadolski of California.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy Schlampp.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home today from 2 to 9 p.m. and Monday at the church for an hour before services.
