WATERLOO, IOWA — Eric K. “Razz” Rasmussen, 49, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, Wis., from complications of heart failure.

He was born May 30, 1964, in Madrid, son of Phillip and Terry Rasmussen. He married Lori Boll in Manchester on Oct. 26, 1990.

Mr. Rasmussenc graduated from Thompson High School in 1982, then from Waldorf College, Iowa State University and Kirkwood College. He worked for Cedar Valley Medical Specialists as an orthopedic physician assistant. He most recently worked for The CBE Group.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Kelsey and Makayla, both of Waterloo; his parents; three brothers, John (Julie) of Joice, Jim (Sharon) of Ankeny and Ken (Beth) of Britt; and his in-laws, Ron and Janice Boll of Dundee.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Valley Community Church, 3520 Ansborough Ave., where visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Wednesday. Arrangements by Kearns Funeral Service - Kimball Chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Eric expressed his servant’s heart by his love for his Savior, his commitment to his wife and girls and his love for everyone he came in contact with. He had a passion for being with friends, sports and playing cards. Forever we will treasure Eric’s mischievous smile, his playfulness, spunk, his love for people, his compassion for others and his ability to make people laugh.
