WATERLOO — Byron Brase, 48, of Waterloo, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 5, 1964, in Readlyn, son of Robert and Dorothy Fortsch Brase. He married Kathy Lampe on May 18, 2010, in Waterloo.

Mr. Brase was employed in construction in the area until becoming disabled.

Survived by his mother of Waterloo; his wife; two sons, Kyle (Jessica Morris) and Kaleb, both of Waterloo; a daughter, Kadi (Jeffrey Washington) Brase of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Julian and JazzLyn Washington; a brother, Greg of Waterloo; two sisters, Beth (John) Crouse of Evansdale and Kelly Laws of Waterloo; three nephews; a niece; four great-nephews; and four great-nieces.

Preceded in death by his father; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is assisting the family.
