CEDAR FALLS — Maxine Fox, 90, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Sat., Aug. 10, 2013, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

She was born July 19, 1923, in Joplin, Mo., daughter of James and Florence Barrow Bowen. She married Theodore Dean Fox in Minnesota. He died Oct. 11, 1978.

She was a demo-lady at Food 4 Less and sang in a band called the Country Cousins.

Survived by five sons: Gary (Marilyn) Fox of Moreno Valley, Calif., Mike (RaeLynn) Irwin of Osceola, Mo., Rex (Sharon) Fox of Dike, Kent (Phyllis) Irwin of Cedar Falls and Dirk (Kimberly) Fox of Waterloo; four daughters: Toni Dean, Sherry Kennedy and Vickie (Fred) Bentley, all of Waterloo, and Jamie (Todd) Hawbaker of Colfax; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three sons, Greg Irwin, Larry Fox and Delbert Fox; three grandchildren; and a brother.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at NewAldaya Chapel, Cedar Falls, with burial in Fontana Cemetery, Hazleton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and for and hour before services Wednesday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to Iowa Hospice.

Maxine enjoyed being a homemaker, loved being a mother and Granny Fox.
