Services for Geri J. Stilwell, 46, of 1215 S. Hackett Road, were 10 a.m. today at The Kearns, Huisman- Schumacher Chapel with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. She died Wednesday (Dec. 31, 1987). The death has been ruled a suicide by the Black Hawk County Medical examiner.

She was born June 26, 1940, in Greenbrier County, W.Va., daughter of George and Virginia Barwald Fry. She married Thomas Stilwell on June 3, 1960, in Charles Town, W.Va. They were divorced Jan. 19, 1985.

She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1977 and was a teacher in the Waterloo Community School District since 1978, most recently in the second grade at Irving Elementary School.

Survivors include her mother of Winchester, Va.; two daughters, Laura V. Stilwell and Ruth C. Stilwell, both of Waterloo; and a sister, Nancy C. Lloyd of Charles Town.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial fund has been established.
