Lisa M. Hunemuller, 52, of rural New Hartford died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at her home from complications of metastatic breast cancer.
She was born March 10, 1955 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Alan E. and M. Sylvia Park. She attended high school in Cedar Falls, and college at the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated with a double major in French and Accounting. She was united in marriage to Todd Hunemuller October 26, 1974, in Cedar Falls. She taught French at Columbus High School for several years and most recently at Cedar Falls High School until this past winter.
Survived by two daughters, Megan (Mike) Steffen and Gretchen Hunemuller, both of New Hartford; son Jason (Angie) Hunemuller of New Hartford, currently doing mission work in East Asia; five cherished grandchildren; Ian, Alli, Cooper, and Hanna Steffen, and Aubrey Hunemuller; parents of East Moline, IL; four brothers, Brian (Sheila) Park of Seattle, WA, Ross Park of Ft Worth, TX, Phillip Park of Columbus, OH and Lindsey Park of Iowa City; and one sister, Renee (Pat) Mooney of Lexington, KY and . . . .
Preceded in death by a sister, Patty Fitzpatrick, and a brother, David Park.
Those who knew Lisa also knew of her profound love of family, friends, all things French, and mostly Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
Service 10:30 Saturday at First Congregational Church in Parkersburg, Iowa. Public visitation 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls with family present from 5-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorials May be directed to the family.
