Mrs. Philip Trost of Eagle Center, resident of the county since 1871, passed away at 3:45 yesterday afternoon after an illness of eight weeks.

The funeral services will be held from the Eagle Center church at 10 o'clock Thursday morning, Rev. John Takin officiating. Burial will be beside the remains of her husband, who died March 26, 1910. It is requested that no flowers be sent.

Mrs. Trost's maiden name was Agnes Mueller. She was born May 28, 1849, at Uckerott, Prussia, and came with her parents when 18 years of age, to Peru, Ill. She was married to Philip Trost in 1871. The marriage occurred in the old church at Eagle Center, which was destroyed later by a windstorm. The site of the old church is now the cemetery, and the couple will rest very near the spot where they were united in marriage.

The following children survive: Mrs. Antone Beck, Mrs. C. P. Schaefer, Mrs. Carl Pierce, Mrs. Carl Beck and Mrs. George J. Miller, all living near Eagle Center, and W. B. Trost, who is bookkeeper for the Nauman Co. in Waterloo. The brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. John Halm of Ottawa, Ill,; Henry Mueller of Bradish, Neb.; John J. Mueller, Tillman Mueller and Mrs. John Surmann of Peru, Ill., and Mrs. Herman Nobbe of Streeter, Ill. All will be here for the funeral except Mrs. Halm, but her husband will come.

Mrs. Michael Neuhalfen, a sister of Mr. Trost, was at the bedside when Mrs. Trost died.
