Mrs. Alvina* Town, nee Perkins, died at her home, 829 Fifth Street West, yesterday at 10:15 after a short illness of pneumonia. She was 83 years old.

She was born at Randolph, Ohio, May 4, 1833, the daughter of Lorenzo and Rachel Perkins. She was married in Illinois Dec. 25, 1850 to L. R. Town. Mrs. Town had been a resident of Waterloo for 35 years.

She is survived by the husband, three children and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W. G. Waugh, 827 Fifth Street West, at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
