Roger H. Scott, 86, of Bartels Lutheran Home, Waverly, formerly of 2100 W. Third St., died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1991, at Allen Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

He was bom Nov. 2, 1905, in Waterloo, son of Harry B. and Ida Mae Rose Scott. He married Dagney V. Hansen on Sept. 5, 1933, in Galena, Ill. She died Jan 2, 1984.

In 1934 he began working at the Deere & Co. Tractor Works, retiring Feb 1 1968. He became a resident of the Bartels Lutheran Home in April 1988 after suffering a stroke.

Survivors include two sons, Norman M. of Mission Viejo, Calif and John S of Denver; a daughter, Mary K. Bencke of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Preceded in death by a brother, John; and a sister at birth.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bartels Chapel Waverly Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home Waverly, and at the nursing home for an hour before services Saturday
