EVANSDALE - Lorin M. Pollard, 68, of 1107 Central Ave., died at his home Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1991, of natural causes.

He was born April 10, 1923, in Carroll County, Ill., son of William R. and Clara Chamberlin Pollard. He married Roberta Reed on March 17, 1950, in Osceola.

Mr. Pollard was employed at Deere & Co. for 24 years, retiring in 1983. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II in Germany.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Janiece Thein of Iowa City Joyce Reedy, Judy Hinkle, Joan Wygle, Jean Graves all of Waterloo, and Mary Gosse of Evansdale; 11 grandchildren; five brothers, Jim and Marvin, both of Osceola; George of Osgood, Mo., Edwin of Lamoni and Clyde of Promis City; and a sister, Mary Ellen O'Donnell of Russell.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Monica Cook; and two brothers, Joe and Dail.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery with military rites conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home, Waterloo, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.
