Herman H. Holton, 77, of 2707 Lafayette St., died at Allen Memorial Hospital at 1:35 a.m. yesterday of a
heart ailment. and complications.

He was born in Fillmore, Minn, on Nov 29, 1884. He was preceded in death by his wife. He farmed in the Fountain and Chatfield area in Minnesota for many years. Mr. Holton came to Waterloo 12 years ago after retiring to make his home with his daughter.

Mr. Holton was a member of the Lutheran church.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Clyde Van Brocklin of 2707 Lafayette St.; one brother William Holton of Memphis, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Amelia Schroeder of Fountain, Minn.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral services are pending. Friends may call at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
