Marjorie M. Teeter, 97, of Friendship Village, Waterloo, formerly of Jesup, died at home Thursday, July 25, 2013.
She was born July 22, 1916, on a farm in McDonough County, Ill., daughter of Glenn Thomas and Evangeline Estella Bouher Seaburn. On June 20, 1937, she married Clyde Teeter in Waterloo. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Teeter graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1933. They moved to Jesup in 1950, where she became employed by the Jesup Consolidated School District and later Jesup Community School District. She was the district secretary for 26 years, retiring in 1976, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jesup.
Survived by two grandchildren, Kerry (Gary) Bennett of Rogers, Ark., and Barry (Vanessa) Teeter of Las Vegas; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, Timothy; a sister, Ona Lee Galloway; and a brother, Eugene Seaburn.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Jesup, followed by visitation. White Funeral Home, Jesup, is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial fund has been established.
