EVANSDALE — Betty L. Youngblut, 71, of Evansdale, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.
She was born Nov. 28, 1941, in Leighton, Ala., daughter of Robert and Louise Romans Owens. She married Robert Youngblut on May 12, 1972, in Waldenburg, Ark.
Mrs. Youngblut was a homemaker.
Survived by her husband; two daughters, Pam (James) Vermeer of Charles City and Kim (Curt) Boose of Lansing; five grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Zachary, Trevor and Courtney; six great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Lanelle) Owens of Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday at the chapel.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
She was a talented flower gardener and her garden was featured in a past Waterloo Courier article. Betty loved time spent with her family and will be greatly missed.
