LA PORTE CITY - Services for Alice Bunz, 70, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Overton Funeral Home in Dysart with burial in Dysart Cemetery. She died Sunday at Schoitz Medical Center, Waterloo.
She was born March 6, 1914, at Lament, daughter of Lucius and Mary Andress Bushnell. She attended Dysart schools. She married George Bunz May 3, 1944, at Elkader. The couple owned and operated Case Implement in La Porte City for 30 years and then operated True Valu Hardware in La Porte City for 10 years, until her retirement two years ago.
She is survived by her husband; three brothers: Roy of Vinton, Harold of La Porte City and Charles of Spanish Fort, Utah; and four sisters: Marnie Becker of La Porte City, Edith Draper of Bedford, Mass., Frances Draper of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mildred Geiger of Vinton.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
