HUDSON — John Richard Monaghan, 30, of rural Grundy County, formerly of 203 Washington St.; died Sunday, June 9, 1991, at his home; cause of death has been ruled a suicide according to Grundy County Medical Examiner; services 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo; visitation after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home, 234-6274J Waterloo, where there will be a 6:30 p.m. vigil service; memorials to the family.

HUDSON — John "Killey" Monaghan, so, of rural Holland, formerly of 203 Washington St., died Sunday, June 9, 1991.
He was born June 12, 1960, in Waterloo, son of Richard and Virginia Keegan Monaghan. He was a truck driver, employed at Sunnybrook Farms.
Survivors include his parents of Hudson; two brothers, Kenneth of Hudson and Wayne of Waterloo; three sisters, Joan Stoner and Kelly King, both of Hudson, and Dawn Monaghan of Gladbrook; and maternal grandmother, Ruth Keegan of Oelwein.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Keegan and paternal grandparents, Francis and Anna Monaghan.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in Black Hawk Township Cemetery, Hudson. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home, Waterloo. There will be a 6:30 p.m. parish vigil service today at the funeral home.
A memorial fund will be established.
