Charles Earl Geiger, 69, of 202 Byrn Brae St., died Tuesday, May 29, 1990, at Covenant Medical Center at Kimball Avenue of a heart attack.

He was born Aug. 27, 1920, in Mount Auburn, son of Charles and Effie Long Geiger. He married Rita Weiler on Nov. 12, 1946, in Remsen.

Mr. Grieger was an assembler at John Deere Co., retiring Oct. 7, 1981. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Randy of Boulder, Colo, Michael of Waterloo and William and Minneapolis; three daughters, Connie Schneck of Waterloo Holly Gjerde of Burnsville, Minn., and Jackie Heber of Hastings, Minn.; three grandchildren; and a sister Doris Fischels of Manchester.

He was preceded in death by a grandson; two sisters, Grace and Emma; and four brothers, Ed Bertrin, Jim and George.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today.
