William "Bill" D. Drier, 94, of 1018 Kinglsey Ave., died Wednesday, May 30, 1990, at Covenant Medical Center at West Ninth Street of cancer.

He was born May 12, 1896, in Wittenberge, Germany, son of Karl W. and Fredericka Sarnow Dreier. He married Hannah Mary Standring on April 26, 1919, in Freeport, Ill. She died Nov. 25, 1985

Mr. Dreier had been employed by John Deere CO- for 25 years, retiring in 1950.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son Donald C. in infancy; five sisters; and a half sister

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Walker Mortuary, Freeport with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Freeport. Parrott & Wood Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

A memorial fund will be established.
