WATERLOO — Lenore A. Goecke, 79, of 1434 Ridgemont Road, died at home Fnday, Jan. 31, 1987 of cancer.

She was born July 3, 1917, in Liscomb, daughter of Early and Eva Meekins Elliott. She married Clarence L. Goecke on July 21, 1936, in Albion; he died March 8, 1988.

Survived by a son, James L of Waterloo; a daughter, Pat Holmstrom of Glendale, Ariz.; two grandsons; a foster son, Danny McMillen of Waterloo; and a sister, Viola Rasmusson of Roanoke, Va.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Central Christian Church, with inurnment at a later date. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, and an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Central Christian Church.
