[Waterloo Semi Weekly Courier, Tuesday, March 9, 1909, Waterloo, Iowa]

Word was received here yesterday morning by Father Mark Cooney of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of the death of William Wixstead at Cedar Rapids Sunday morning, of lung trouble. He was about 30 years of age, and was well-known in Waterloo, where he was connected for some time with the Wangler Drug Co. He acted as city solicitor for the wholesale drug firm, and left here about three years ago for Cedar Rapids, where he was associated in a similar capacity for the Churchill Drug Co., but of late had conducted a drug store of his own.

The remains will be taken to Charles City, his old home, for burial.

Mr. Wixstead was a member of St. Joseph's parish in this city, and was highly esteemed by all who formed his acquaintance.

Miss Luclle Wixstead, a teacher in the Hawthorne School of this city, is a sister of deceased.
