WATERLOO - Alma J. Shelton, 82, of 1016 Thorndale Ave., died Friday, Jan. 31, 1997, at Covenant Medical Center of lung cancer.

She was born May 18, 1914, in Eldora, daughter of Charlie and Miney Klepke Balvanz. She married Marvin Shelton April 22, 1950, in Clarion; he died Oct. 6, 1996.

Mrs. Shelton had been employed by Rath Packing Co.

Surivived by a sister, Lucille Graves of Shell Rock.

Proceded in death by four brothers: Lawrence, Bernard, Wendell and Harry Balvanz.

Memorial services for Mrs. Shelton and her husband will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home. Military rites for Mr. Shelton will be conducted by American Legion Post 138.
