Services for Lorn C. Dutton, 84, of 1445 Garden Ave., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. He died Saturday night (Aug. 30, 1986) at Allen Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Dutton was born Dec. 25, 1901, in Iowa Falls, son of Lorn Dutton Burton Lee and Lilly R. Wesenberg Dutton. He married Dorothy E. Elliott on April 9, 1960, in Nashua.

He had been employed at Covenant Medical Center-Schoitz as a maintenance and groundsman for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Witlatch of Cedar Falls and Marvin Brown of San Diego, Calif.; four daughters, Thelma Vajda of Valparaso, Ind., Shirley Sherwood of Cedar Falls, Anna Billings of Waterloo and Patricia Bass of Mason City; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clair and Lyle, both of Kasson, Minn.; and five sisters: Ila Dutton of Morehead, Minn., Gazelle Sackett of Park Rapids, Minn., Hazel Hoffdahl of Randall, Minn., Carrie Kramer of Dodge Center, Minn., and Elsie Nakk of Deerwood, Minn.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Turner.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until services Tuesday.
