KLINE, DOWNS, CONDON, THOMPSON, MILLIGAN

WATERLOO- Albert T. Kline, 86, formerly of Waterloo and Cedar Falls, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Denver Sunset Home.

He was born July 17, 1921 in LaPorte City, son of Clarence V. and Mayme Downs Kline. He married Jeannine M. Condon on January 24, 1947 in Waterloo. She died November 14, 1999.

Mr. Kline graduated from LaPorte City High School and completed two years of Business College in Chillicothe, MO. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II and Korea. He worked with the Black Hawk County Assessor and was later employed as a sales rep with Matt Parrott & Sons for over 30 years, until his retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Mike (Gloria) Kline of Bettendorf and Jim (Debbie) Kline of Waterloo; two daughters, Deborah Kline-Thompson of Cedar Falls and Cynthia (Jack) Milligan of Ballwin, MO; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Kathleen "Kay" Condon of Cedar Falls.

Also preceding him in death were six brothers, Walt, Mark, Fritz, Don, James and Donald (in infancy).

Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward Catholic Church with inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home (266-3525) where there will be a 7 p.m. scripture service. Military Honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
