Services for Clyde Eugene Brainard, 91, of 124 Graceline Boulevard,, are tentatively set for Tuesday morning at the Oppold Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. He died at 12:21 a.m. Saturday at the
Parkview Gardens Care Center of a heart ailment.

He was born June 9, 1888, in Waterloo, the son of Philo and Hattie Dopking Brainard. He married Erma G. Richardson in 1919, she died Dec. 18, 1926. He later married Carolyn B. Secrest in 1955.

He was employed at the Waterloo Post Office for 49 years, serving as manager of Station A and later as chief accountant for the Waterloo Postal Service. He retired in 1954.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Robert, of 119 Prospect Ave.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. on Monday.
