Services for Ralph M. Blackman, 86, of 403 Belle St., will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Grace United Methodist Church with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home after noon Sunday. The Waterloo American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct full military rites at the gravesite. Mr. Blackman died Thursday morning at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born Nov. 11, 1893, at Cole Camp, Mo., son of Edward G. and Francis E. Feiandt Blackman. He married Zella Wallace April 10, 1929, at Des Moines.

He was an engineer for Illinois Central Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1962. Mr. Blackman was a veteran of World War I, serving in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Bane of 403 Belle St.; two grandsons; two brothers, Earl of Stover, Mo., and Dewey of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Mansur of Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. Cora Case and Mrs. Jess Parker, both of Stover, Mo.
