Word has been received here of the death of Floyd Deyo, 60, of Ketchikan, Alaska, a former resident of Waterloo. Deyo died in a Ketchikan hospital 3:15 a.m. Tuesday.

He was born in Dumont, Iowa in 1898, the son of Frank and Anna Deyo. He attended schools in Waterloo and was employed here by the Yellow Cab Co. for some years. Mr. Deyo was also employed by the Sioux Cigar Co. here. He left Waterloo about 15 years ago to move to Ketchikan, Alaska, where he operated a salmon fishing boat.

He is survived by a brother, James Deyo, Sacramento, California, and by two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Weer, Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Russell Hundley, 103 Olive Street, Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral services are pending in Ketchikan, Alaska.
