Memorial services for Christopher Len Lybbert, 28, of Alameda, Calif., formerly of Waterloo, are tentatively set for Thursday at First United Methodist Church. He died Tuesday morning of cancer at the hospice unit of Schoitz Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 7, 1956, in Warrensburg, Mo., son of Leonard and Jane Mick Lybbert. He graduated from West High School, and was a 1979 graduate of Iowa State University. In 1981, he received his master's in industrial relations from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was employed in the personnel department of Pacific Gas & Electric Co. in San Francisco.

Survivors include his parents of 2610 Manor St.; and a brother, John of Houston.

There will be no visitation. O'Keefe & Towne-Carter & Waychoff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Schoitz hospice unit or American Cancer Society.
