WATERLOO - Norma J. Nieman, 76, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center of natural causes.
She was born Nov. 6, 1931, in Owensville, Mo., daughter of Rozell H. and Anna I. Walls Jaquith. She married Ralph "George" Nieman on Oct. 8, 1955, in Waukegan Ill. He died May 7, 2003.
Mrs. Nieman was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Waterloo Chapter No. 764.
Survived by six sons, Tim (Chris), Rich (Marlys), Ted (Lynn), Steven (Tammy) and Ralph Jr. (Kim), all of Waterloo, and Tom of Mesa, Ariz.; seven daughters, Lynda of Davenport, Leanna, Billie Jo (Jamie) and Brenda (Gary), all of Waterloo, Sandy (Rich) and Nancy (Jeff), both of Waverly, and Debbie (Steve) of North Carolina; two brothers, Billy D. (Shirley) Jaquith of La Porte City and Larry L. (Juanita) Jaquith of Waterloo; 37 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband; two grandsons, Allen and Brandon; and two brothers, Richard and Danny Jaquith.
Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home, where there will be a 6 p.m. Fraternal Order of Eagles memorial service.
