DEATH FROM DIPHTHERIA.

Sad Condition Exists at the Thompson Home.

A sad condition of affairs was found at the C. F. Thompson home, 326 Gable Street, Sunday morning when a physician was summoned to attend a little child 18 months old, but who was dead when the doctor arrived.

It was found the child had died of diphtheria and an older sister is lying in a critical condition with the same disease. During the past month the family has been afflicted, but no physician was summoned. Some of the members who were attacked have recovered, but the two cases mentioned were the most serious and another will no doubt be fatal. The home was immediately placed under quarantine.
