CEDAR FALLS — Ruth A. Becker, 87, formerly of Parkersburg, died Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Western Home Communities Martin Center.

She was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Butler County, daughter of Ernest and Bertha Timmer Aswegen. She married Karl S. Becker on Dec. 29, 1943, in Nashua. He died April 14, 1986.

Mrs. Becker graduated high school in Parkersburg.

Survived by a daughter, Mary (Myron) Toebe of Shell Rock; a son, Robert Lee of Lititz, Pa.; four grandchildren, Christine (Lance) Poppe of Waverly, Matthew (Patches) Toebe of Shell Rock, Stephanie (Josh) Ortega of Waterloo and Eric Becker; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Timothy Toebe.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. today and an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.
