WATERLOO — Robert C. Brookman, 76, of Waterloo, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

He was born March 8, 1937, in Flint, Mich., son of Thuran E. Sr. and Mary N. McReynolds Brookman.

Mr. Brookman worked as a mechanic for Maple Lanes for many years, retiring Dec. 1, 2011.

Survived by a sister, Ruth Jones of Waterloo; a brother, James (Vivien) of Waterloo; 21 nieces and nephews; and several great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Larry, Thuran Jr. and David.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday at the chapel.
