Services for Mrs. Genevieve L. Murphy, 91, of the Americana Healthcare Center, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward's Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. She died at 6 p.m. Saturday at the care center.

She was born June 22, 1892, at Storm Lake, daughter of J. Edward and Anna Mary Salz McLarnan. She married Dr. George C. Murphy, a Waterloo physician and surgeon, Sept. 18, 1918, at Waterloo. He died in 1965.

She was a charter member of the Black Hawk Medical Auxiliary and charter member of St. Edward's
Catholic Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Doherty of Iowa City, Mrs. Evelyn Gardner of
Palatine, Ill., Mrs. Patricia Pochron of Windsor. Conn., and Mrs. Georgia Mullen of 335 Midlothian Blvd;16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Carter-Oppold/O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home, where there will be a rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday. There will be no family visitation Tuesday evening.

Memorials may be made the St. Francis Health Care Foundation.
