Services for Mrs. Florence G. Cordes, 77, of the Windsor Care Center in Cedar Falls, formerly of 1396 Virginia St., will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with bttrial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. A Scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Oppold Funeral Home, where friends may call. She died at 6 p.m. Saturday at the care center.

She was born Aug. 11, 1906, at Howard County, daughter of James and Edna Huckins Long. She married Joseph F. Cordes Sept. 14, 1927. He died Oct. 7, 1981.

She is survived by two sons, John Cordes of 1236 Virginia St. and Jim Cordes of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Mrs. Mavis Differding of Clear Lake and Mrs. Goldie Thomas of 440 Fairfield Ave.; nine
grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Shaw of Jesup; and a half brother, Arthur Shields of Cresco.

Memorials may be made to the church.
