WATERLOO - Elizabeth A. "Betty Ann" Gardner, 80, of Arizona, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 5, 2007 of natural causes.

She was born October 5 1926 in Sioux City, Iowa, daughter of George and Dorothy Rhine Gifford. She married John Gardner May 3 1952 in Waterloo.

Betty graduated from Waterloo East High School and she was owner of the Random Gift House in Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband of AZ, two brothers, Willard Bill (Marge) Gifford of Council Bluffs and Roland Bud (Cee) Gifford of Sioux City and two sisters, Delila Mae Mehess and Margaret Ping both of Sioux City.

Preceded in death by a brother, George Sonny Gifford.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5:00 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
