WATERLOO - Ruth B. Erlandson was born September 16, 1918, in Pine County, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Anna (Petry) DeWitz.

On February 15, 1941, she was united in marriage to Harry Erlandson in Sanborn, Minnesota. He died in 1985. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Women of the Moose.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Greta Elliot of Huntington Beach, CA; two sisters, Louise Solie of Minneapolis, MN and Alvina (Ernest) Trapp of Sanborn, MN; daughter-in-law, Betty Erlandson of Waterloo; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

Ruth died Sunday, August 27, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Healthcare Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Erlandson.
