CEDAR FALLS — Stan J. Delagardelle, 54, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, June 29, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from a work-related accident.

He was born Oct. 25, 1958, in Waterloo, son of Louis and Donna Wilson Delagardelle. He married Sherrie Beasley Eldridge on Oct. 5, 1992, in Hawaii.

He graduated from Columbus High School in 1977 and received his associate degree in civil engineering from Hawkeye Community College. He was employed with John Deere as a supervisor in Service Parts Operations.

Survived by his wife; his mother, of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, Jenny L. (Jeremy) Eldridge Houser of Kirksville, Mo., and Angela S. (Derick) Eldridge Clark of Grimes; five grandchildren, Cameron and Greysen Houser and Jaelynn, Nash and Brody Clark; two brothers, Jeff (Pat) of Cedar Falls and Charlie (Linda) of Waterloo; and four sisters, Gayle (Craig) Hartline of Bullfrog, Utah, Marge Stover of Longmont, Colo., Joyce (Bob) Izydore of Creedmoor, N.C., and Rhonda (Steve) Zoolakis of Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Preceded in death by his father; paternal and maternal grandparents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. There will be no visitation at the church on Wednesday.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society.

Stan enjoyed camping, traveling, woodworking and mostly spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
