WATERLOO - Ardell Saathoff, 69, of Waterloo, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo of lpancreatic cancer.

He was born June 9, 1938, in Ackley, Iowa, the son of John and Elvina K. (Lindaman) Saathoff. On June 15, 1957, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Neuendorf in Waterloo. He was self employed in the floor covering industry and later in home improvement and also had managed the Sugar Lake Resort in Annandale, MN in the late 1970's.

Survived by his wife of Waterloo; three grandchildren; Jackie (Ryan) Malecek and Blaine and Stevie Dewey, all of Waterloo; two great grandchildren, Laurel and Camille Malecek of Waterloo; and sister, Verlene (Roger) Damon of Parkersburg.

Preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Tamra Dewey

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls with cremation rites following. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
