Cedar Falls — Final rites for Mrs. Mary Anne Thompson, 84, longtime resident of Cedar Falls, who, died at the Christie Convalescent Home at 1:30 a. m. Friday, will be at First Congregational Church at 2 p. m. Monday. She had been in failing health since she fell and fractured a hip last Jan. 18.

She was born Mary Anne Mehler daughter of Henry and Magdalena Mehler at Rockton, Wis. She came with her parents to La Porte City, la., as a young girl. There she was married to Grant U. Thompson, Nov. 26, 1890. Several, years later they moved to Cedar Falls, where the family home was at 501 Clay Street for more than 40 years

Mr. Thompson died more than 35 years ago and Mrs. Thompson resided at 501 Clay until last January.

She is survived by two sons, Ralph, Schenectady, N. Y., and Forrest, 1616 Franklin Street, and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Thompson was a longtime member of First Congregational Church, where she was an active worker until recent years.

The body is at the Dahl funeral home.
