Rosa Emerson Arduser

Rosa was born January 15, 1917, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Edward Harrison and Mary Ella (Chapman) Vining. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and received her nursing degree in California. On July 20, 1944, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Owen Emerson in Mason City. He died October 8, 1994. She then married Joseph Eugene Arduser in November of 1998 in Iowa City. She worked at Clay Equipment in Cedar Falls until 1944 and then nursed in Chico, California and moved back to Cedar Falls and was employed at the Lutheran Home, Windsor Nursing and Rehab and then Cedar Falls Health Care prior to retirement.

Rosa is survived by her husband, Joseph Arduser of Sigourney, IA; daughter, Diane Kay Vajgrt of Cedar Falls and her children: Martin Benjamin Vajgrt, Michael Aaron Vajgrt, Matthew Christopher Vajgrt, and Dietta Michelle Villarreal; great grandchildren, Bradley, Blake, Emily, Ashley, Jacob and Abbygayle Vajgrt, Bailey Myers and Amanda Villarreal; step-daughters, Donna Klingfuss of Cedar Falls and her children: Bob Klingfuss, Scott Klingfuss, Terry Eicher, and Melissa Hickman; step-great grandchildren, Bob, Dylan, Haley, Allyssa and Dakota Klingfuss, Drew and Derrick Eiucher, and Mya Hickman; step-sons, Donald, Myron, and Kenny Arduser; and step daughter, Phyllis Wolfe.

Rosa died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband; brother, Edward P. Vining; and three sisters, Marie Tgiros, Ruth Tanner, and Alice Mae Lantz.
