CEDAR FALLS- Byron Roger Johnson, 91, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home died Sunday, May 25, at the Home.

He was born May 11, 1917, in Dike, the son of Hans and Minnie (Jensen) Johnson. He married Edith Jessen on February 24, 1940 in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced. He married Frances Wyth on Jan 25, 1974 in Cedar Falls, and she preceded him in death. He then married Helen Fries on May 28, 1994 in Nashua, who also preceded him in death.

Mr. Johnson attended Dike High School, and farmed the family farm in rural Dike.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Steven and Lori Johnson of Dike; two daughters, Judi Lohman of Tucson, AZ and Nancy Johnson of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Minnie Coates of Santa Rosa, CA and Margaret Ohrt of Reinbeck.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis, Robert and Chester; and two sisters, Irene Drain and Carol Geerdes.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fredsville Lutheran Church, with burial in Fredsville Lutheran Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls. There will be no public visitation.
